World Slingshot Federation Preparatory Meeting 2018
On June 21, 2018, the first World Slingshot Conference convened by Federazione Italiana Giochi e Sport Tradizionali (FIGEST) was held in Gualdo Tadino, Perugia, Italy.
The conference proposed the establishment of a global slingshot organization operating under the Olympic Charter, and put forward ideas and suggestions on the organization’s framework, organization, management, operation, development and other aspects.
Representatives from 15 countries including Italy, Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, India, Britain, Ireland, Mexico, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary and the United States attended the meeting.
Representatives from all countries participating in the meeting agreed to the meeting’s initiative and jointly signed a memorandum establishing the World Slingshot Federation (WSF).
